Paznaun - Ischgl

In the far west of Tyrol, the 40 km long high-alpine Paznauntal branches off. The narrow high valley is internationally known for its ski hotspot Ischgl. With 239 km of perfectly groomed slopes, the Silvretta Arena Ischgl-Samnaun, which extends across the border into Switzerland, is considered a mecca for skiers and snowboarders. In winter, in addition to the numerous gourmet restaurants and bars, Ischgl's spectacular top events with international artists are a delight. And those who like it a little quieter are best advised to visit the villages of Galtür, Kappl and See. While Galtür is considered a paradise for every cross-country skier with uphill intentions, Kappl impresses with untouched deep snow slopes that melt every freerider's heart. The ski areas of Galtür, Kappl and See are particularly suitable for families with family ski passes, children's programmes and easy practice slopes. And the fact that the snow guarantee in Paznaun is particularly high benefits all four ski areas in the valley.

In summer & autumn, the sunny and low-precipitation climate is the best prerequisite for extended hikes, climbing tours and (e)-MTB tours. The villages of Galtür, Ischgl, Kappl and See offer the best starting points for tours of the surrounding mountains. Paznaun is surrounded by the three-thousand metre peaks of the Samnaun Group and the Silvretta and the peaks of the Verwall Group. So if you're looking to cool off in the fresh mountain air in summer, this is the place to be. The colourful programme begins in Galtür in one of the largest boulder parks and leads to Ischgl, where the cable cars not only take guests across the border into Switzerland, but also to the starting point of a multitude of bike trails. The programme continues in Kappl in the huge children's paradise, the Sunny Mountain Adventure Park, and finally ends in See, where the bathing lake is already waiting to cool off after an exciting day.

The whole year in Paznaun is embellished by numerous top events. The Top of the Mountain concerts in Ischgl have been a fixed point in the calendar for years, flanked by the sporting highlights. For freeriders, the Open Faces contests in January attract them to Kappl, and for cross-country skiers, the Galtür Nordic Volumes event series at the end of March is the perfect event to end the season. In summer, the trail running event Silvrettatrailrun3000 and the challenging MTB race, the Ischgl Ironbike, attract sports enthusiasts to Paznaun. For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, the E-Bike WM or the Silvretta Ferwall Marsch are perfect.
