Clearly, it is not only size that matters, the perfectly groomed slopes, modern lifts, charming mountain huts, and spectacular views make the SkiWelt an absolute delight for all skiers and snowboarders. As a winter-sports region, this area is also very interesting for all cross-country skiers, winter-hikers, and toboggan lovers. The eight towns in this holiday region offer exciting options and ensure a memorable holiday in the mountains. The Kitzbühel Alps are an absolute dream destination for all active holiday makers, and all those who love the scenic alpine setting. With more than 1,000 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes up the mountains all the way down into the valleys, skiers and snowboarders can venture out and explore to their heart's content. Not only alpine skiers are spoilt for choice, cross-country skiers can enjoy spectacular adventures on more than 600 kilometres of tracks leading through the most interesting terrain of the region. Winter hikers can take advantage of the marked winter hiking paths guiding them through delightful winter landscapes. And for all those wanting to forge their own path, snow-shoe hiking and ski mountaineering allow explorations in the most beautiful valleys and areas of this region.

Guests of the holiday region Hohe Salve sometimes enjoy taking day trips to the Inntal valley, the Mühltal valley, and the Brixental valley for some extra adventure and to explore a different region. For some shopping and a slightly more urban flair, the quaint city of Wörgl offers a change of pace. The shopping centre M4 not only delights all shoppers, it also has a fantastic indoor climbing area with many interesting routes at different levels of difficulty. The wall is 16 metres high, and has an overhang of up to 12 metres.
